Should I get another guinea pig?

I had a guinea pig for 8 years. He died. I wasn't the best mother to him, but I cared. Now I have a hamster. Still not the best mother but I love him. I want another guinea pig but I am scared to ask my mom and dad. Do you think it would be okay to get another one? (PS: I didn't change his cage as much as I should or changed the water, but I kept him fed)

Well, IT DEPENDS I really don't think you should get one UNLESS you will actually be a good owner. It needs more than just love, it needs care too. But if you can, then go for it! = )
