Should I get another hamster??

Question

Ok....I have had like 5 hamsters before so I do know how to care for them....I had the last one like 1.5-2 years ago. The only problem is I have a cat now. I also had a different cat who had been a stray before while I had 2 of the hamsters and it always tried to get them. I love hamsters but I have no idea how to get them to get along...Any ideas??? [All the hamsters I have had were dwarfs and lived 1.5-2 years] The stray cat "ran away" while we were in Cancun like 2 or 3 years ago, but our neighbors said they saw her around but we never saw her again. Our other cat is a little violent with animals...Like one time she caught a bird but didn't kill it almost did though and brought it inside but it just left it there so im a little hesitant about this idea...So any tips I could make them get along..Thanks!

If theres a place your cats cant get you could put them hamster there.

well since its a new cat see if they get along make sure ur cage is cat proof and if the cat really doesnt get along

u could try putting the hamster in your room and keep the door shut

thats what i do and it works pretty good

Really its up to you but i do have an idea for you if you have a aquarium tank a 10 gallon will do just fine for 1 hamster. At petco or petsmart you can buy tank locks in the reptile department theyt cost like $5 and it will keep your cat from sneaking in and your hamster from sneaking out. And its easier to clean than dealing with all the tubes.

Well if you cant get them to get along soon, your going to have ti choose between the cat and the hamsters. I would obviously go with the hamsters cuz well you have had them much longer.
