Should I get at roomate to cut my bills/expenses in half?

It depends.  Can you afford your expenses alone?  if so, then don't get a roommate unless you just want company.  If you can't make it alone, get a roommate, but make sure you get in writing what they are responsible for should something go wrong.

If you have the space, and a willingness to share, good idea. Just take your time in selecting someone to be a roommate. Also, even before your start looking , make a list of your "rules", everything you can think of that you would or would not accept from a roommate. Finally, make a formal contract with whomever you select, so that both of you know what is expected and what will be the result if the rules are not followed.
