Should I get glasses, I mean will it make a difference?

I just had an eye exam and turns out I supposedly need glasses. I admit that I don't have the best vision in the world, but if it will make a huge difference I am willing to buy a pair.

My perscription says:

OD: Spherical = -2.00, Cylindrical = +0.75, axis = 180

OS: Spherical = -2.00, Cylindrical = +0.50, axis = 016

If you have similar eye sight, I would love to hear from you.

  1. yes u should

  2. I would say try the glasses, I remember thinking I didn't need glasses until I tried on a pair, I felt like I had superpowers!! All of a sudden I could see everything, close up and far away.. it was amazing!! My prescription is only +1.5, so it's a little less strong than yours, I promise glasses will make a huge difference!

  3. it will make a world of difference, based on your current spectacle prescription, i would estimate your vision to be around the 20/60 mark, which means that for any given object, a person with corrected vision would be able to see 60 feet away but with your uncorrected eyesight you will be required to move to a distance of 20 feet away to view the same object.

however if you feel that your vision is comfortable you may just want to get a pair of glasses for driving or seeing things far away and you can put them away when working on things up close

  4. That is up to you. If you can still see at good levels, then you may not have to. However, not wearing glasses can make your eyes work harder then they need to, straining them. This can make your vision go downhill faster. Wearing glasses slows this down a lot.

You will need to have perfect vision if you drive. You can get in serious trouble if they catch you with bad vision that needs correction but you ignore it.
