Should I get highlights? (Pretty Urgent)?

I have light brown hair and I want to try something different for the new school term. All my friends are dying their hair/ getting highlights. I was also planning to highlight it after a dramatic cut. Would it be following the crowd or individualising myself? (Needing answer by next week!! Thnx)

You should get lowlights. That's what I'm doing.

Get a medium brown and then a few highlights on top(light brown/dark blonde), or maybe a caramel colour.

Get a layered cut - keep as much length as possible. and get it bleached blonde. not just lightened.

Well, I got highlights when I turned 23. I love them, but they're really expensive to keep up. Mine, including my cut are about $125 every 3 months or so. You just think about if you want to keep the committment, because if you don't keep them up, you'll have dark roots for a while. Be yourself and get the stylist's opinion on a cut and what color highlights.

get lighter blonde. NOT platinum, thats too drastic. unless you want a bold look. But don't just get them on your top layer or else when you put it up it will look really weird.

Highlights are neither following the crowd or individualising yourself. You just do it because it makes your hair look better, that's all.

it would look great, so why would it matter if you're following the crowd? :)  you should get a pixie cut and try cooper highlights.

do what you want. i think its nice just to have one colour but if you want highlights then dw about following the crowd - it was your choice to have them wasnt it?!
