Question:

Should I get landlord insurance for my rental property?

I'm moving out of state and want to rent out my condo. Someone suggested I get landlord insurance. My car insurance company (Progressive) does not have it. What are some good companies that have landlord insurance, and is there anything tricky about it that I should know?

  1. it is not surprise for you to have this kind of question.many others does.try this one maybe useful.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

  2. Your place is already insured, isn't it? Just up the coverage and require your tenant to get renters insurance.

  3. Home insurance is actually very flexible. I'm not familiar with all the fine print of my homeowners policy, but my home insurance agent is always a phone call away. Try visting your agent or a agent in your city. http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Home-I... They should be able to assist you.

  4. Call whoever you have your home owners insurance with and explain that you are now going to rent your place and need the appropriate insurance.  It will be cheaper than homeowners because it will not cover content just the unit itself.  State Farm, Allstate, most major insurance companies can help you.  Good Luck.

  5. You still need interior insurance.  The Master Policy does not cover that.  Progressive is aligned with a company for home owners now.  If they can't help you, call around for quotes.
