I have a 10 gallon tank. All I have in there is a Fancy Male Guppy and a Common Pleco.

I just did research(a little too late) and realized a Pleco cant be in a tank that small? What do I do? There is a creek behind my house with a small pond. Lots of Algae... My Pleco is my favorite but I think he would do better there, warm water. Also, my parents wont let me return him or anything.

Also, I was wondering if I should let my sister get a Fancy Male Guppy as companionship for the other. I used to breed Guppies(very easy) and my current Guppy i've had since he was born. I dont want to breed them anymore because they are hard to get rid of.

ALso, I heard Corys are fun fish. How many of those do you reccomend?

  1. Well, I'm not sure if it would be healthy to release your pleco in the creek, it may be illegal to do as well, tell your parents that it is a must that you take him back to the store to either get you money back or exchange it for something else, as for Cory's, as long as the temp is warm you can put 3-4 of the same species in your tank. Or you could mix the species, I have a mixture of 4 Albino and 2 Panda Cories in my 55 gallon tank.

  2. Corydoras Catfish (Corys) are lovely fish, they will zoom round the bottom

of your tank, they are very hardy, very active, and very peaceful!

they stay small too! at around 3'' they do best in a groups of 3-4.

I've got 4 corydoras all different species! (peppered, leopard, elegant and green)

If I was you I would get 3 corydoras. (go for the albino ones they are so cute with their pink eyes and snow white body!)
