  2. bassically any as long as they dont nip on her tail, maybe rosy reds.

  3. no. not in a 1 gallon. if you want a community tank, i highly reccomend you get a 10g tank. then you can get a small school of about 5 neon tetras, 5 white cloud mountain minnows etc. if you want to keep other female bettas with her, get a 20g tank and two others. from my experience, unless kept in a pretty large/decent sized tank, they are always in better health when kept singly or with fish of other species. if you get a 5g, you can get some shrimp, solong as you get the right type. a friend of mine went down to a nearby creek and caught one, it is now 2-3 inches long, and has eaten all the other fish. guppies, rainbows and even a bristlenose pleco. stick with the commercially available ones. if you do decide on getting a 10g, you can choose from the common livebearers, such as guppies, platies or mollies. the bigger the tank, the more freedom you have.

good luck, and sorry for straying off topic a bit there :P

  4. Her tank is too small to put any other fish in. Rule of thumb is one gallon per inch of fish(however sometimes you really need more gallons then even one per inch, especially with bigger fish like Oscars and large Goldfish). If however you get a bigger tank, you could get other female bettas. Female bettas get along with each other and with some other tropical species of fish. It's just male bettas that don't get along, and don't put a male and female together either. Good luck with your fish.

  5. Nope, you should definantly not to get your betta a tank mate. One gallon fish tank is too small for two fishes anyway. Betta fish is aggressive toward other small fishes especially in a small fish tank like 1 gallon or 2, thus, it is best to keep betta alone to avoid fin nip.

  6. Well i had a male one and i always got african dwarf frogs for it and cory catfish they clean the tank and bettas dont bother them

  7. In a 1 gallon tank, your better off just keeping her by herself, if you want her to have company upgrade to a 10 gallon and do research on who would be the best tankmates for her. Good luck.

  8. noooo betta fish are violent. lol they will fight till death.

  9. nope. DO NOT! your tank is wayyyyy to small!

  10. The rule of thumb is one inch per gallon. I wouldn't put aby more fish into that tank.

If you got a bigger tank it would be possible. They can be kept with peaceful or community tropical fish.
