  1. Talk to  a body shop and see if they can buff it out inexpensively. Evena touch up should cost less than 200, I wouldn't even bother with the insurance.

  2. I would be careful, touch-up is obvious but a repair is going to look like a repaint and maybe hidden damage no matter how well it is done.  It is worth the 200 bucks if the scratch is on more than 1 panel easily in terms of paint repair.

You own it what is important looking good long term or potential resale.

  3. I own the same vehicle, same color, get it fixed. If the damage is from off roading, I tend to not care as much as when it is from vandalism. get some price quotes and see what it costs. Chances are it will be much more than $200. this type of claim usually will not affect your rates.  Are you on the "fjcruiserforums"? If not, check it out. www.fjcruiserforums.com

  4. I agree with everyone. Never mind your insurance. It will be an inexpensive fix.

  5. Get a quote on how much it will cost to repair. If it is going to be $1000, that $200 is not that bad in comparison to what the insurance company is paying. If you ever plan on selling it, it definitely would be something to get fixed unless you plan on driving it into the ground and don't care too much  about the cosmetics of the car. Although, it the panels are steel, depending on how deep they dug in, rain could cause rust and over time cause it to be a bigger and bigger problem, costing you more and more.

  6. i would get if fixed,it might sound like alot to you,but that would really help you in the long way,of maintaining your car and resale value.and if you decide to trade it in,im pretty sure that will knock more than two hundred off for a trade.
