My son is 12 and I am thinking of getting him a TV for the Play Room (a room where I keep all the kids stuff) because he watches it downstairs too much, but I'm worried we won't know how much he's watching upstairs, if I get a TV for the room what kind should I get, how big and should it have Sky, Freview or NTL or anything.

  1. He will probably watch quite a lot of tv, but maybe you can give hime some rules. (if he listenes to you guys that is)

Or you can limit the tv watching by removing the electricity cable (sorry for bad english) at certain times of the day.

I dont think it matters what type you get, a standard sized one should be alright. But, if you get a smaller one it is more likely that he wont watch as much, since it does remove some of the fun. (maybe its mean, but its for the better).

As long as the tv is in the play room, you shouldnt worry. Its much better than having it in his bedroom.

Regarding channels, try to limit them, since that will let him watch his favourite shows, but still he cant watch tv all day since there will be a lot of shows he doesnt want to watch, too.

Hope you manage to find a solution that is good for both you and your son.
