Should I get my wisdom teeth taken out right now?

The dentist told me that I have two upper wisdom teeth but no bottom wisdom teeth (or the bottom ones just havent come in yet). the top wisdom teeth are growing in straight and they are a bit longer than the rest of my teeth. the dentist reccomends i have the top teeth taken out since there is a chance that they will continute to grow down and eventually hit my other teeth. I only feel pain maybe about once every other month from my top wisdom teeth. the pain last about 4 days and only occurs when i chew food. Should I wait before I have them taken out?

i had mine removed all 4 were cut out, and i had 4 others pulled. [my mouth was to crowded, and i was getting braces] but my wisdon teeth were going to growin weird because i didnt have enough room, but it didnt hurt me at all.

im 18 going to be be 19 in a few months and all 4 of them just started growing, and i dont plan on removing them

definitely take them out!  It's not that bad... the pain from the surgery should go completely away in 4 days... and you'll never have pain from the wisdom teeth again!  

you're lucky that your upper two are showing - that will make them even easier to remove!

if you feel a significant amount of pain on your 4th day, go in to your oral surgeon and make sure a blood clot didn't fall out.  If it did, they have a really simple solution that fixes it in 10 minutes - they just put in a packing of clove oil that numbs and soothes the area.

One tip - obey ALL your surgeon's limitations on food after the surgery:

ESPECIALLY SODA - Don't drink it on the first day!  I did because I was a little nauseated.  It fixed the nausea for a while, but it made the blood clot in one of my holes fall out.

Get them taken out. All four at once if you can and the sooner the better..the older you are when you get it done, the more it will hurt.
