  1. I wouldn't get the iPhone because you will love it for the first couple months and then you will wish you never bought it. I got rid of mine it was just a waist for me I going back to a regular phone.

  2. Biggest problems with it:

Very high defect rating (cracking cases, dead pixels, off center screens, light leak, keyboard lag, call quality)

Also, it lacks most things phones have:

    mms (picture messaging)

bluetooth profile that supports stereo, keyboard, computer syncing, file sharing..

    Custom contact ringtones/message tones

java (that means no java games, no java apps)

    bad camera

it has an html only internet browser

it has a very limited multimedia format support.

its full touchscreen with no haptic feedback

    it lacks voice dialing

it lacks multitasking (when you get a phone call, you must stop the internet browser or game you were playing, you cannot pause it)

you can only install apps using itunes (no third party support)

you cannot drag and drop, you must resync your entire phones contents to add 1 song.

Internet browser is very prone to crashing the phone (this is a carryover from the first gen)

hows that 3 hr work time on that non user replaceable batter? correct me if im wrong.. its $85+ tax to get your battery replaced, and youll be without your phones for... 3 days? mmmm

how about the admitted 'kill switch'.. where apple can remotely remove anything on your iphone? so much for jailbreaking it if they can simply pull a trigger and erase it.

What we call someone who says "its the greatest phone ever" or some variation of that, are fan boys. These people pledge their aliegence to anything put out by a company, but when asked why they think this, they dont have an answer, or the answer given is exactly what the tv commercials tell them.

Ask these people to give a comparison of two phones, and they cannot do it.

Do these people know that 3g is not the fastest internet available? evo-do a is.

Do these people know that apple has admitted the 3g iphone has 3g reception problems?

As a previous poster said, the touchscreen novelty wears off very quickly, and you will want to go back to a normal phone. This is because it lacks tactical feedback.. when you press a button on the phone, you feel it go down and click. this is tactical feedback. try texting someone without pushing down on the keys, simply place your finger on them.. or better yet, go to your car and type something out on your gps. that is exactly what typing on a touchscreen phone feels like.

The iphone is the most overhyped phone on the planet. It does many things, but does NOTHING well.

Ultimately the choice is up to you, but be aware of what you are getting yourself into. Rarely will you see a non fan boy whos owned an iphone, still use it.

All my information given is common knowledge to me, but everything can be found with a quick google search.

  3. Why waist your many on an expensive plan ? Save your money and just get a regular phone.

  4. you will love the iphone

the greatest phone ever plus 3G speed, you cant beat it

  5. Yeah you definately should its the best and fastest phone out there. id get it if i had att.and if you want a case get the one that is clear. DO NOT JAILBREAK IT

  6. The 1st iphone wasn't nearly as fast, but had much longer battery life.

While I still wouldn't trade my 3g in (it's amazing and there are tons of cool apps) the battery life is not as robust as I'd like.

In order to preserve my battery's life I have turned push off, turn blue-tooth off when not in use, turn wifi off when not using (always will search for signal, even when not used if on), lower the screen brightness half way or more and do not use a case as it raises the phones temperature and this can lead to battery drain, too.

The phone, like most other phones doesn't need a case and it's gonna eventually break anyway.  The case the phone is in is solid though.

One thing that you should really get are screen protectors.  They seem like nothing- just little plastic screen covers, but they take any scratches to the screen surface that would otherwise permanently scratch your screen.  And you can change them when they get bad.  But it'd be really expensive to change physical screen.

While the clear (glossy) screen covers are best for high-res viewing, they show all the oil smudges from fingers.  The anti-glare slightly mask the phones brightness, but they hide the finger marks.

  7. I just got mine and I must tell you I very happy with it. There are a two thing I do not like about it.

key pad for SMS very small and no video camera.

other than that it is a great toy!

    lots of free apps
