  1. take the train.  It is a lot faster, it does not have to wait for stop lights, and they move at a faster average speed than buses do.  I hope this has been helpful.  good luck with your travels.

  2. depends on how fast you wan to get home

  3. Get the bus to the train station. Then you don't have to choose!

  4. walk you lazy bum

  5. The bus all day as it will get you nearer home

  7. It doesnt matter... as long as u arrive home safely.

  10. I have traveled on both,  I prefer the train.

  11. Where from and to where. If nearby I'll give you a lift

  13. Bus and look out at the world going past.

  14. If you cannot make up your mind don't bother going home.

  15. If the train is nearer to home, then the train is good

If the bus is nearer home then bus is good

If both the same go for the cheaper option, Good money saving tip.

Only remember rails deaths to car/bus deaths are

    1 Rail=100 road deaths

    I would take the train

  16. I took a train from Indianapolis to Chicago once. It is only 150 miles but I swear it took so long I thought I would murder some one. It sucked.

  17. i would say bus it probably stops nearer your home .. but then again you may live right by a train station

but for me if i was using public transport

  18. Rollerblade babe! and work that bum, tum and thighs!!!

  19. Depends on how far you're travelling. I travelled on a Greyhound bus from Nashville, TN to Tucson, AZ and it was HORRIBLE. Needless to say, I'll never ride a greyhound again.

If you have quite a distance to travel, I would say try the train. It'll probably be more comfortable, cleaner, and a generally better experience than riding a greyhound.

  20. Definitely bus! x

  21. The bus. Take the train tomorrow.

  22. Walk

  23. The bus costs less, although the train will get you there faster, and I think is safer.  It does usually cost more.  Depending on where you are travelling, the scenery will be different.  You won't be watching road traffic.

I like the train, most all the people are nice.  Some have snack cars, although the short distance trains snacks are expensive, and you should bring some of your own.  Is it for more than one day?  Then definitely try to take the train.  They allow you comfort, and are so nice.  If you are to leave the train in the early hours, make sure the person working your train car knows your destination, and to wake you before the train reaches the station.  They usually go and quietly wake people about ten minutes before arrival.

I have used three or four Ameripasses, in the late 1990's and enjoyed this travel very much.  I could have flown for maybe one hundred dollars less and a lot more stress.  Instead, it took two to three days, and I saw so many interesting parts of America, and met a few nice people.  Take a camera if you are going for a few days.  Staying clean is an advantage, also.

  24. Depending on the length of the journey (ie too far to walk) I would always choose train - I have a railcard and can get 1/3 off and also there are toilets on board which can be a good thing if it's a long journey!!!

  25. the magic eight ball says.......take a taxi

  26. For a short journey the bus, if your journey home is a longer one use the train or a combination of both.

  27. If the train is convenient and the cost about the same then take it. I have traveled over 28,000 miles by train. It is much more comfortable. You can walk around and there is food.

The major problem with long distance trains is that the tracks are controlled by the owners of the freight lines who put freight trains first. Passenger trains are rarely on time.
