Should I get the plants and the Betta in the same day?

Or should I wait until after the plants have been bought and placed into the aquarium? Like wait another week or two or something.

And I found a site a while back that describes a good way to acclimate the fish to the new water; if anyone happens to find a site like that, a link would be appreciated.

  1. This site has both freshwater and saltwater setups for your perusing.  Very informative.

  2. It's a matter of preference, though I would personally take care of all the aquascaping before introducing fish to your aquarium, mostly because it makes it much easier. You don't have to wait a week or two unless you want to wait for your plants to start growing, as long as the setup is done I see no harm done.

^^ Drip-acclimation method for fish. There's many types of acclimation processes, but that's by far the safest way to go.
