Should I give her the present or keep it to myself?

I WAS in this group of friends which consist of 8 ppl. They were some problems and I am not so close to this 8 ppl anymore but we are still friends, all of us are friends. 2 ppl from this group of friends are J & L. Last Saturday, both of them went out to celebrate their Birthday. They organized it and invited S, J and V which are not one of the 8 in the group of friends. 6 of us who weren't invited are pissed with them as they even invited ppl who they aren't very close with but they didn't invite us. I bought a present for J and I am still considering whether i should give it to her or not. Its a shirt of her favorite artist. Should I just keep it and wear it or should I just give it to her?

Sounds like you bought it in exchange for going to a party.  If you bought it because you wanted her to have it, give it to her.  If you bought it because you felt you had to, return it and get your money back.  Why would you keep it and wear HER favorite artist?

Sounds like they moved on without you. Return the shirt and get yourself something. If you become close again one day you can give J presents then. Find some others to befriend.

well if I had a friend who has a birthday..I really made effort of giving her a gift...Sometimes I give cards,cake, something memorable and funny but I make sure that she will keep it forever... So if you brought that shirt as a present to her then give it. That is why you brought that and she will realize that you are really a good friend of her because even though she did not invite you.... you still had a present for her.
