I keep my birds in my bedroom with me because that is where I spend most of my time! Do you think I should keep them in my bedroom or give them their own room? The only CON having them in my room is they wake me up at 6:30am every morning!

  1. Keep them with you!  they love you and consider you part of their family!  :)

  2. i was thinkin about getting a monkey and giving it it's own room with like trees n **** in it

    ... just sayin

  3. A NOTHER THING THAT YOU CAN DO IS PUT THEM IN THE living room.

  4. No, they need interaction with humans, and other motion & activity stimulation to lead happy lives.

  5. Yeah that would be so cool!  I've always dreamed of having a room just for my pets and if you have a room available, go fot it.  Also, it seems you love your birds a lot so why not pamper them? :)

    Good Luck!

  6. That is so nice of you ! I bought an indian ringneck last year  and Guess what i bought a big 3 bedroom apartment for him to live in ! Also bought him a nice Hummer so that he can drive when ever he wants !

    God Bless you !

  7. Ah thats awesome! is your room in a treehouse?! Better if birds stay with you, because maybe something you need to do in the future is at 6:30

  8. you should get a turtle turtles are cooler!

  9. show ur birds some love and privacy and give them their own room

  10. no they are birds they are not people put them in the livinig i would not waste a room for birds just leave them in the living room

  11. It depends what your bedroom is like.  If you spend most of your time in your room, does it have a lot of room that you use it for doing things not in the bed?

Birds need sunshine.  Since I don't know what kind of birds you have this is hard to answer.  Some need the ability to fly a bit.   Some birds really need freedom to go where they may choose in the house.  Others need the companionship you provide.

Personally I would not keep a bird in the bedroom because I would want my house-guests to be able to enjoy my bird(s) too!

  12. cute but yes you should but let it take time time because a sudden change might scare them leave them in tonight but tomorro move them 4 1 hour them bac and them 5 hours then at night put them in the other room

  13. my sister has a room for her cats, but they are still allowed in her bed, so give them their own room to sleep in but bring them to your bedroom once in a while.

  14. Yes, birds rock.

  15. Well you certainly know more about birds than I do, but I do know that they enjoy human (& other species) companionship.  Do you cover their cages at night?  If you do & that doesn't encourage them to sleep later, havng their own sleeping room might not be a bad idea!  Then I'd bring them back in once I was up & about.  But they could have their own "birdroom" or bedroom just to sleep in.  You can always try it for a week to see what happens, & if you decide you can't sleep without them with you, you can bring them back in!  I think I mentioned before that I had a cockatiel years ago.  She would follow me around all day & if she couldn't come with me, she'd shriek!  She'd even take showers with me & stand on my shoulder under the water!  (Her head would get wet & you could see the little ear holes on each side, lol.  It looked so odd!)  Anyway, good luck with them!

I know that most of the time they want to be with you, their "mommy!"

  16. yes

  17. I sudjest a closet but hey its ur choice :)

  18. Do you cover them at night?  If not, cover them with a dark blanket at night.  They tend to sleep in longer.

They don't need their own room.  I'm positive they enjoy your company.  They are very social animals.

  19. pppsh.. no why would you waste a room on your birds!

  20. YES! By all means, keep them in your bedroom. If they give you joy and satisfaction, and wake you up to song, its worth it. After all, they are part of your family!

  21. I guess if you want, but birds are social animals, and they probable like it better in your room at day time. So how about you simply move them to the other room at night time?

    Hope this helps! :)

  22. What kind of birds do you have?

They sound wonderful, and you sound like you take good care of them.  If your bedroom is dark from, say 10pm to 8pm, and the cage is covered and you're not snoring...if they still do the 6:30 wake up call, try them in another room.   If they don't like it, they'll get totally snippy and let you know!

You might also try separate cages.  My birds spend the day together, but once bedtime rolls around they sleep alone, and seem to prefer it.

  23. leave them in the room.u keep each other company.

  24. 630 am them birds would have been set free long ago lmao

  25. If you don't mind them there, keep them in your bedroom. You'll keep each other company, not have to waste a whole room and no need to spend money on a alarm clock!

  26. Only if you don't have to kick anyone out of a room to do it.

birds are great but they shouldn't ruin your sleep.

  27. I think if you are able, that is a very good idea.  Of course you would still be able to give them plenty of attention, but it would be lovely for them to be able to have their own room to retire to in the late afternoon/evening for playing and preening time.  Time they can spend by themselves, not interacting with you...just being parrots.

I just got my lovebirds a large flight cage.  It's so big that I sometimes put my parrotlet in with them to play.  So they all enjoy just flying around and hanging out in the big cage.  Some days they don't come out at all.  This is because I realize that some days they just can't come out because we're gone, busy, sick, tired...  I can't wait to someday have an extra room for them entirely.  Then they can be in there with the cage doors open all day...ahh the ideal situation.

Anyway, I'm babbling...  If you're able, do it!  Your birdies will really enjoy it!

  28. Your a freak. Birds don't deserve their own room. Get married and give your kids their own room

  29. Put them where they will get the most attention from the people in the house.
