Should I give him something for Christmas? Easter? VALENTINE'S DAY?! (ignore the last one. he's married lol)

If so, what would a proper gift be?

What would proper holidays be to give gifts?

I haven't used him as a teacher for very long but holidays ARE coming up!

  1. Make an ornament  made out of earplugs.  Wrap it in a copy of the first song he taught you.

A laugh /  conversation starter is always a good gift.

  2. just give a nice card..but if you wanna be super nice get him a gift card..

  3. I think I can speak for all teachers when I say they love little gifts.  You don't have to spend a lot of money;  give them a lollipop or a package of pencils.  On the main holidays in December, do a $20 gift certificate.

A little thoughtfulness pays off in a big way, I can assure you.

  4. Don't start something you have to keep up yearly.

  5. It shouldn't depend on wether or not he is your violin instructor. It should depend on if you like him as a person or not. There's no such thing as a person's position making him unable to receive gifts. If he's nice, show him you appreciate him for who he is, a gift is a great way to show that!

Maybe he would like a book on violins or music from a certain era? Perhaps base that on the sort of music he likes to listen to and play.
