Question:

Should I go abroad, and where?

There's a program to go abroad during my Junior year in high school, and I'd only have to pay for the plane ticket.

I don't know if I should take it, since I'd have to catch up with school work and might have to take extra classes the rest of my years.

Also, I live alone with my mom and my mom might get a little upset at me leaving her alone.

If I do go, I want to go to either Germany, Italy, Australia, or a Russian speaking country (I'm not allowed to go to Ukraine, Russia, or Latvia though)

Any suggestions?

  1. It all depends on what major are willing to take. There are some universities that offer scholarships for international students. Qatar is a place where they do that, since they are very wealthy. They have a community where all top universities from the USA have branch campuses on. They offer variety of majors.

  2. Just think of it like this..Will you ever be offered this chance again? Thats a really good program if you only have to pay for the plane ticket what other teenageer will get to say hey I went and studied abroad for a while. and also colleges look at that kind of stuff and practically need to have you. With your academics your counslers can work out a schedule with you to fix any interferring classes and credits just think its all for youre future.

I fI had to pick I would say go to Germany firstly because you could use it more practically later on in life or then itally for a chances to see a diffrent social structure. and with youre mom youre at the point now where sshe already knows its gettin time to be where youre about to leave the nest and I m sure she wants whats best for you

    hope it helps
