  1. Do whatever will bring you the most fulfillment.

  2. take a foreign language and travel there.  work there for a bit just for fun with tourists.

  3. Unless you have a terminal disease, then why make a choice?

One is never too old to learn something new. One is never too young or too old to donate their time. Do not stop moving until  you area dead. Until that time, do it all! Do it all.

  4. What do you want?

I know many retired men and women who choose to go back to school because they have an unquenchable sense of wonder.  Some because they want to grow up to their last moment.

I also know lots of retired folks who volunteer or docent for educational programs at nature centers, zoos, aquariums, libraries, museums, adult reading programs, community centers, public computer centers, and so much more.

I can only hope I can offer as much when I can finally retire.

  5. What about both???

I would definitely go back to school - you're never too old to learn and there's so much out there I want to know.

And, there are lots of organizations who would love to have your volunteer hours even 1 day a month.  Pick a cause near to your heart and offer them your services.  You don't have to volunteer full time to make a difference.

    Good luck!!
