Should I go for my dream?

My dream is to be a country, and rap singer. But my dad says I sing like a cow, but everyone else says I sing just like Taylor Swift! I don't know if I should go for my dream, or just sit back and stay at home. What should I do? Thanks for your answers!

depends how old you are but a country and rap singer would be awful music

Typically, most ppl are going to say go for your dream.

But find out if you really have a good voice by:

Asking people

putting a vid of you singing on youtube

ask a professinal

Take voice lessons

If you really do have a good voice, then go for it.

Try to make this " Country rap"

sound good, not stupid.

And tell your dad to give opinions in a nicer way =P

you at least want to try. i find that things eat at me if i don't at least put forth an effort to try. i would try, and if you not as good as you thought, no sweat, at least you know. and if you're amazing at it, well hey, you wouldn't had known that sitting back at home

Definitely If you want to be a singer bad enough go for it and don't let anyone stop you. Your dad sounds mean. No offense. You might win a Grammy one day! =)

Going after your dreams.  If you don't you will always wonder "what could have been".  If I had stuck to my dreams I could have retired before I was 40.  Now I am 46 and stuck working until I am 65.

DO NOT LET ANYONE TALK YOU OUT OF IT.

If you tell people your dreams they will try to crush them. Keep your dreams to yourself and pursue quietly.  After you have achieved they will applaud you.
