Ok i wanna do this audition and it's for john robert powers.Last time i auditioned they said that they have something thats better for me and that they would call in 6 months. Oh well what do you know, they never called back. That was like about 2 yrs ago. I really honestly think that i'm a good actress though.but it cost $ because if you make it you take acting lessons and then you get called or asked or something to do this show. I pretty sure thats how it works. Do you guys think that I should go for it?

  1. no thats not how it works

it dont cost money believe it or not

    agents are free.

john robert powers is a scam!

a real agent is free the onyl money they make is 10-20 % of the pay you get from doin commercials etc.

and an agent can not tell you to take classes

they can suggest but thats it

    for auditions go to actinginfo.blogspot.com

and if you live within 100 miles of dallas or fortworth go to kimdawsonagency.com

    you have alot to learn.

you need to get acting classes and be in as many plays as possible all that experience will look great on your resume.

  2. as far as "should i take the audition", it never hurts to audition.  if you "win" the audition, great! if not, it's great experience and will help prepare you for the next auditions.  if you want to get a role you have to get out there and audition every chance you can.  you won't make it every time, obviously, but if you don't try, you don't have a chance!

  3. John Roberts Powers Is A SCAM

  4. anyone requiring money from you around any audition is a fraud. totally avoid them and look for a real agent or agency to represent you. try searching for members of csa, casting society of america, for a list of it's membership. also try reading the sag, screen actors guild website. try actors access, under breakdown services. there are plenty of scams around, try not to get involved in them. try searching aftra, the american film, tv, radio unions website for information. also try searching out your states film commission website for their information on production in your state and casting call announcements. you may try the film studios websites, like fox.com,/films, warner studios.com, mgm.com, and try searching inet for american film production companies/index for lists and info.. you would also benefit by reading a copy of "the actors guide", there are two types, eastcoast(ny)/west coast(la) versions full of necessary information for any newbie to the acting profession. good luck thespian on getting your name in the actors workbook, the one casting people use to fill their casting requirements.

  5. since it's your imagination...
