Well, it starts in 2 weeks, I have been choosen to go abroad to Southern Italy "Calabria" I think its called, right on the coast, for a business type internship..

I will be taught Italian and work in a company..(unsure of what company and what work I will be doing) however accomadation is paid for, as is my flight.

Is it worth doing in the south of italy(if it was northern I wouldnt complain, but south..im not so sure!)...when I would like to gain some real knowledge of working in a business?

Thanks

  1. I think that you should go because you might actually like it and you might be surprised to learn something while you are there.

  2. Of course you should take the opportunity to travel abroad and learn about our world first hand! Esp if things are paid for.

Is this through school? Or a private company? Just be sure to research the offer thuroughly so you don't end up in Iran or owing them a gob of money for the trip.

  3. That sounds like a great opportunity! You should be proud that you were accepted and definitely go! Good luck and congratulations!

  4. Hi gwb&g

My first thoughts would be to say go! but it would depend on who? is making the offer? & why?

If you had said that it was a friend or family contact that was making the offer then I would understand

I question the fact that you dont know what company or what you will be doing yet flight & accomodation is paid for?.. it all sounds a bit iffy to me.. a lot of girls come unstuck when far from home & in a compromising position if owing somebody something .. remember they may expect 'something' in return .. more 'hard' work..

    be careful whatever your decision..

    goodluck & tgc

  5. yes go for it!

i would love to be in your position! it's a once in a life time chance!

go for it but stay safe!!

  6. Are you kidding me? What is there even to think about?! Go! Who cares where it is in Italy - it's a chance to experience living in a different country. Right on the coast too? This will be awesome. Go for it.
