Should I go to Atlantic City or Lancaster, Pennsylvania?

I'm going on vacation, but I still don't know if my family should go to Atlantic City with it's bright lights, boardwalk, and shopping, or the cultural Lancaster with it's amish cooking and old feel. Which do you think would be good for a 15 year old girl and her family. (btw, I don't tan or shop a lot, so yeaaa.)

  1. How long will you be there for?  Are you driving or flying?  If you are choosing only between Lancaster and AC, I'd go with AC.  Lancaster has a cute downtown, but you'll run out of stuff to do after a day or so.  In AC there is an aquarium, a wax museum and other amusement on the boardwalk.  You could also do day trips to other shore towns like Wildwood (amusement pier) Cape May (quaint, upscale shore town) and other various shore towns.

I don't know where you are traveling from, but have you considered visiting Philadelphia?  Its got world-class museums, restaurants, shopping, and art.
