Should I go to Montreal or D.C.?

Question

I'm thinking about going to either Montreal or Washington D.C. Which is a better choice considering the month (May), the distance (flying out from N.Y.), and the attractions and tourism.

Those are my two favorite cities to visit! You'll have a great time in either one, but since the American dollar doesn't go as far in Canada as it has previously, you may want to stay here and do DC.  It really depends on how long you plan to stay, too - if you can go to Montreal in May and then do a quick weekend to Washington later in the year, see both!

I love DC, and May is a perfect month weatherwise - it's warm without being hot.  

Also, there are fewer tourists in DC in May - since spring tourists try to be here for the cherry blossoms.

Montreal is a great city. Lots to do and see...and in May, there should be a lot of outdoor activities. In May, the humidity hasn't hit yet, so it is quite nice.
