Should I go to Sorrento in September?

What will the weather, biting insect etc situation be like?

Yes...most of Italy is wonderful in September.  In fact, there are much fewer American tourists there, so you have a chance of seeing Italy at its best...filled with Italians!  It may be a drop colder than the summer months, but you will find that local festivals and other traditional fall events will outweigh the cooler weather.

Not really sure, but it was really beautiful in late August last year...

you should try going in early September...

be sure to try their Limoncello!!!

there's also a thing called Meloncello...not bad
