Question:

Should I go to a chiropractor for a hip rotation?

I went to a massage therapist because of some problems with aching in my neck, shoulders and back. He told me that I needed to go to a chiropractor to get a hip rotation to correct my posture.

I've never thought much of chiropractors, though I've never been to one. Any advice on this please?

What should I expect?

What do they do in a hip rotation?

Are there any dangers (e.g. spine damage) from what they do?

  1. I am a nurse and a firm believer in chiropractors. They are educated enough to know if they can help you or not and they do a thorough assessment before they begin your treatment.  Good luck

  2. I just recently started seeing a chiropractor myself - I've got mild scoliosis.  He's wonderful!  Make sure you don't go to one of those "doc in a box" type of chiropractor though.  The first one I went to years ago was like that.  They told me to wiggle my toes and while I was doing that they cracked my neck!  It hurt for days afterwards.  The doc I'm seeing now has never done anything like that.  I've started to have a lot less back pain and when I do have it, it's very mild and hasn't required any meds.  Good luck to you!!
