Should I go to band camp?

I'm in the marching band at my school and we have rehearsal for the next 2 weeks from 8am-1pm.For about three hours we are outside marching and exercising.Problem is my friends were supposed to go with me but they bailed.What should i do?

dont go if they ask you for a reason say that you are sick with the flu and dont want to make the other band people sick or you have to go on vacation with family

You are lucky, your band camp is two hours shorter than mine. And we are outside for four hours.

You made a commitment to the band, and you should keep it.

If you don't go to band camp, you miss out on a lot of stuff, and you drag the band down when school starts. If you dont' go to band camp, then don't bother showing up to band period.

You should be in band because you enjoy making music, not becasue your friends are there. It's unfair to the people that actually want to be there to have to work harder becasue lazy people like you don't want to show up.

do you listen to your friends or your heart?  you were born an original -- don't die a copy!   If you start this young following your friends -- you will weaken the :) leadership qualities you have inherent within  you.
