I'm a pianist and I'm having a performance on the day of my departure from 10:00 to 10:30. The departure time is at 12:00, I'm not sure whether I can make it. I live about an hour away from the airport. It's an international flight, I'm flying singapore air. Anyway, this is the last time I'll be in this country for another 10 or so years, I haven't even performed here this whole year, I really want to go to my performance and leave the country with a round of applause. But I'm scared I might be late for my flight.

Please tell me what I should do!!! There's a back-up for me, but I still want to perform.

  1. Yeah i agree with conley39. I think its time to realise that you can not be in two places at once.

    Sorry.

  2. Long distance international flights typically start boarding about an hour before boarding time and check-in ends somewhat before the departure. If you're an hour from the airport when your performance ends, at best you would be at the airport 30 minutes before the plane goes. That's if you leave at 10:30 - no time to pack up your instrument, etc and no delays on the way after the performance. That will not leave enough time to check in, get through security & passport control and get to the gate to board your plane. Your choice is perform OR fly, not both - unless you reschedule to another flight at a later time.
