Question:

Should I go to the doc - ttc 10 months & long cycles?

I came off the pill last Nov, then got 1st proper period mid mar, next one mid may and latest one mid aug. I know people usually say go to the doc when you've been ttc for a year but should i go sooner? My periods are ~ every 3 months (thought they were getting more frequent and my body settling down in may but then took another 3 months for my next period to come along) so i wonder if i'm even ovulating. Trying not to get worried but if something is wrong then would like to start doing something about it sooner rather than later.

I guess my question is, when they say go to the docs after a year, is this a year full stop or after a year of having 'normal' frequent periods and active time ttc? Any advice welcoome, thanks :)

  1. 12 months after TTC, so that would mean November, is enough time to get your body back on track from the pill and to prove that you've been trying. Don't put it off any longer than that, but I would suggest that you do some charting in the next few months which might give some additional data to the doctor when you finally go and visit for help. And in the meantime, charting might happen to get your pregnant too :)
