so, I just bought a nice package with 2 10-inch subwoofers and a box, as well as a new stereo, but i only have a 300W amplifier (used previously)... and I want to get more punch out of my subwoofers, but im not sure whether a 1000W amp or a nice epicenter would be better... I do listen to more rock than hip hop, so i was thinking the epicenter would give me what i need, but will i be able to get it with that amp?... if i get the amp... will i get the punch I want?

thanks

  1. Hands down, more power.  Or more subs.  Or better enclosures.  Or all three.  Definitely leave the epicenter alone.  Your amp is only capable of 300 watts.  How do you think adding an epicenter magically increases your power?  lol.  It's not going to happen.  You'll still only have 300 watts.  However, you will have a very clipped 300 watts which could blow subs much much sooner.
