Should I have a Sixteenth birthday Party?

Okay I was really looking forward to my sixteenth party, I have got heaps of ideas, and games and the theme, and I thought it was going to be great!

But now I don’t know if I should even have a party, all the gatherings and parties I go to we have heaps of alcohol, but my mum won’t let me have alcohol at my party! I haven’t pushed her to let me because I understand that she doesn’t want to lie to the parents and she doesn’t want anything to go wrong.

But now I don’t want to have a party because people know me and they will expect there to be lots of alcohol, and if there’s not I don’t think people will have a good time!

yeah it sucks that lawyers and lunatic parents ruined this country.  parents get sued and go to jail these days when people can't hold their liquor.  so your mom is just covering her butt don't blame her.  have your no alcohol party and just have fun.  or maybe do like those kids in wisconsin and have a (root) beer keger and giggle your buts off when the cops show up

first of all,happy sweet sixteen.and i think you should have a party,but i think that u should only invite your best girlfriends(real friends)and have a sleepover party.u should not have to feel pressured into choosing between a party and no party because of alcohol ,hun.good luck!
