Question:

Should I have a baby?

I am 23 years old and have been married for a little over a year. I am 1 semester away from graduating nursing school and I will be a RN. My husband has a BA (4 year degree) in history and plans on going to more school next year to become a teacher. My husband works full time in retail (not much you can do with a history degree) and I work part time in the health care field and go to school. Should I wait to have a baby or or start trying soon. My biggest fear is that I will have fertility issues and it will take me a long time to get pregnant. I have no medical conditions to lead me to believe this but I worry about that.

  1. So long as you're healthy you should be OK.  Get your degree and a good job, you are still young. I am a teacher I teach elementary school I have a degree in Political Science and I'm teaching third grade.

Good Luck to you , very happy to see you're both educating yourselves.

  2. now is not a great time. wait until you are ready dont just have a baby to prove you can to yourself. you need to be prepared for the upturn this will cause. can you afford to give up work? you and your partner need to discuss this through. and you need to relax, being stressed doesnt help when you are trying to conceive. if i were you i would wait until there was less pressure on you. finish school enjoy life as much as you can for now and then get ready for some serious babymaking when you graduate!!!

  3. definitely complete your studies.  You want to be well educated first to be able to support your kid/s. if you get divorced after having kids, you would still be in a position to support yourself and your kids.

  4. Wait till you both have stready jobs and are ready for this kid for 18 years
