I am 16 years old and I really want a child that is close to my age because I want to be able to relate to them better. But, I don't want to have to deal with the disappointment from my family. Should I wait or get it flowing now?

  1. Do you have a job?...Are you ready to give up hanging out with friends, going to party's, etc....Are you ready to take care of a Crying baby at 2 in the morning?....Are you ready to give up all your money to spend it on Diapers, Bottles, and anything else you kid needs?..How about chasing around a kid, or dealing with there tantrums when they get older(You know, Screaming, yelling they hate you...Just because you didn't get her/him a toy they wanted.).....Probley not...Your 16...Wait..Seriously..It isn't that fun..It's hard work..

  2. Yes, finish school, get a good job, get your own place to live and then think about having a baby. Bringing a child into the world is a great thing but, its not so great when you cant take care of the child and have to depend on people. Think about all the pros and cons about having a baby.

  3. 1. Have you graduated high school?

    2. Are you married? Do you have a boyfriend who is guaranteed to stick with you through the pregnancy and then be part of your child's life once he/she is born?

    3. Do you have a steady, dependable, well paying job?

    4. Do you have your own place to live?

    5. Do you have enough income to pay rent (or mortgage), utilities, bills, and personal expenses?

    6. Do you have enough disposable income to support a child (buying diapers, formula, clothes, a nursery set, child care, etc).

If you've answered "no" to any of those questions then you shouldn't be planning on having a kid any time soon. As long as you remember what you were like as a kid/teenager you'll be able to relate to your kids whenever you choose to have them.
