Should I have said something?

Over the past two months, I left some friends who are a couple 2-3 voicemails asking if they wanted to hang out (they usually invite me over). I didn't get any response, so I was kind of disappointed for a little while and figured I lost them. yesterday they called though and asked what happened to me, I seemed to have fallen off the face of the earth? I told them I was busy getting a new job and was also wondering what happened to them, but didn't express my disappointment any further and just hung out with them and had a couple drinks. Did I do the right thing?

  1. Yes, you did the right thing.  There must have been some mix up and they didn't get your voice mails for some reason. It was nice of you to have an explanation about having been busy.  If it happens again, though, you might want to ask if they received the voice mail you left.

  2. .

  3. I wouldn't worry about it......it happens all the time to me. People just get busy and forget to return calls.

  4. Yeah, that's the thing with voicemails... you never know if they really got through.  I usually use a secondary contact method---like email, facebook, myspace, etc---when my phone messages don't seem to be received.

  5. You did fine.  If they keep in touch from now on and respond to your voicemails, then you know you did the right thing.  If you leave multiple voicemails and they again don't respond, you may want to broach the subject in a friendly way.  They may have voicemail problems.  (I have T-Mobile and some of my voicemails never come through and sometimes they take days to show up.)

  6. They sound pretty dull. You should find some cooler people to hang out with and ditch these bores.

  7. yes , but they may have never gotten the VMS. U kno cells these days...
