Question:

Should I have to pay a parking ticket with the wrong address?

I was parked at 910 East Maple and the meter maid wrote 800 East Maple on the ticket which is a block away. Even though I was accidently parked in a street sweepers way at 910 Maple, it just seems silly to pay a ticket for a location I was not parked at.

  1. pay it....anyways

  2. If you can prove you were not at the other address go ahead and fight it;

  3. you could easily contest it in court, but it's a parking ticket. pay the $20

  4. Yes you do, sorry.

  5. sorry, Emily.....pay the ticket.  The object of the ticket is to make you pay more attention, not to be technical in it's execution.

  6. You can definitely contest. Find more information at the blog intended for just such parking tickets, below.
