Question:

Should I install latest "Flash Player"?

I am computer illiterate. While trying to access youtube (on an older model computer), it says:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."

If I click on the link, it brings me to this screen:

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Is it safe? Is there any virus I could get? Is there any reason I should not "agree and install?

Thanks for any help.

  1. yes it is definetly safe and yes you should get it installed if you want to do much at all on the internet.

  2. Get it, it's perfectly safe.

  3. dude it is frome adobe ...............

  4. This is absolutely safe.  The only issue I can think of is if your computer is so outdated, it may have problems running or even installing Flash.  If there's enough space it should be okay, but most likely the install will fail if your machine can't handle it.
