Should I introduce a new kitten and how?

I have a 5 month old female moggy and a 1 year old Shih Tzu. They are the best of friends and do everything together. They are both extremely friendly animals and my dog is very gentle with cats, once he gets to know them

My Aunt's Bengal cat had kittens and they are going to be ready next week. She would really like to give me and my fiance one as a gift and I absolutely love Bengals, but I am unsure whether this would be ok to introduce another animal into our home. We have a good sized garden and plenty of space for another furry friend. Is there an optimal time for introducing pets to new pets? And what is the best way to introduce a new kitty to a dog?

Let the dog, and the cat sleep on seperate bedding and then switch after one or two nights, and then put the bedding in the room with the kitten and vice versa. Then after a few days of this, start to introduce by opening the door slightly and letting them sniff one another.

If they have loads of room they should be fine.

its easy. i have 2 cats and 2 dogs and they all get along fine. your first cat may be a bit mean to the kitten but its just to show it whose boss.but like you said, if its friendly there shouldn't be a problem. introducing the kitty to the dog is just to let them sniff each other but keep an eye on them. if the dog is gentle with your first cat, there will be no problem
