I have the choice, one side of the bike path is all hills and the other side is pretty flat.

Keep in mind, i jog only for CARDIO. I am relatively slim and workout hard at the gym 3 times a week and train legs.

  1. i would say.... GO FOR THE HILLS!!

  2. Must be a strange looking bike path.

    I say hills.

  3. Go for the flat surface. If your training for a cross country race then take the hill route but considering you go to the gym 3 times a week i think the flat route is a good idea.

  4. It really just depends on which muscles you are wanting to work. Do more hills will work more muscles in your legs, where as jogging on a flat surface will just work on the same muscles. Doing hills will be better for cardio because of the difficulty of going up hills then being able to let back when going down hills, really gets the heart moving which is really good!

  5. it doesnt really matter, its up to you

  6. Guess it depends on how hard you want to push yourself. Of course going up and down hills will be a more intense workout for cardio endurance.

  7. either, just push yourself harder on the flat (if you jg that) so you get a decent workout
