  1. collage

  2. everyones saying go to college first.

but i say if you dont want to go to school then go straight to marines :)

    semper fi!

  3. Go to collage and then join as an officer

  4. I guess it all comes down to why you want to join.

If you want to enlist because you want to serve your country, go over seas, & kick *** & take names while serving your country, then join when you turn eighteen.

If you want to get an education & get a decent starting pay, go to school first. I'm sure if you talk to a recruiter, they can help you more than anybody here can. Maybe there's a way for you to do like a delayed entry program/college first program like there is in the guard. I doubt it, but it couldn't hurt to ask, ya know?

However, if you just want somebody to pay for your college while getting the military expierence, I think that the Army National Guard, or Air Guard is probably your best bet. You can go to school while serving, and you won't be deployed for at least four years. (your contract is six if you go to school.)

Good luck in whatever you decide to do :)

  5. You have to ask yourself where you think you can do the most good. Just remember as an officer your actions are going to have a greater impact on those around you, especially the men under you.

  6. If you join after you graduate high school.. They will pay for you to go to collage plus you have a better chance at better jobs than just a collage grad... An employer will hire you quicker than they will a collage or high scool grad... If you join after you got to collage you can make officer status depending on how many years of collage you have..Good luck... The Marines are a hard but you can do it

  7. do you know you can lead? do you want to get paid more but possibly have a more paper pushing, administrative job. If so, officer could be the best for you

if you want hands on, down in the dirt grunt work enlist. Enlisting can also be a great way to figure out what  you want to do with your life after service.

good luck, listen to Lavadog too, he definitely knows his stuff

  8. You need to be very honest with yourself and ask yourself if your USMC officer material.

Please do not assume that because someone has a degree that they will make a good USMC officer..It takes a very special breed to become one. Its not like many people have that choice of should I become one or not. Your either made to be one or your not.

There is a reason not everyone becomes an officer and many who have a degree do not even try out for USMC OCS..

Go to my profile page and click the link there..Then read the page titled OFFICER/ENLISTED..It will teach you something about deciding to become a USMC officer.

  9. Go to college and then run for office, we can do more with you in Washington right now than in the marines. But ty for wanting to serve.

  10. go to college first

In the Marines your a solider first  then family then school

so you should take care of your family and your school then join the marines to be a officer.

    good luck!

  11. i'd recommend you go to college first, join ROTC and study the ASVAB in the meantime. then join the Marine as an officer.

  12. go to college first.
