I feel my life is going knowhere. I feel as if I could reach my full potential if it was forced out of me in a completely foreign environment.

AS OF NOW:

- Mid-Twenties

- My field is mechanical designs for oil refineries (Mechanical Engineering BS)

- I’m learning Japanese (JLPT 4) and I want to keep that up somehow.

- Kind of a liberal-elitist aesthete / creepy “nice” guy nerd who can never score but s***w women anyway I have my left hand kind of guy.

THIS IS WHAT I WANT (in order of preference):

- - I want genuine LEADERSHIP experience. I want to significantly affect people’s lives because of the decisions I make.

- I want to make lifelong friends. Having enough free time and being placed in the right opportunities to have deep conversations is a must.

- I want to travel.

- Become fluent in another language.

- I want more confidence: I want to walk like a tower, fit as a fiddle.

- I want to be able to look back on these experiences and have a million stories.

  1. Navy or Air Force     You will learn skills that you can use the rest of your life. While the Peace Corp just sort of looks nice on your resume.

  2. Peace Corp= wimp corp

  3. Try the US Coast Guard, (The Life Savers,) you will get real leadership experience, travel, and you get to do something that is really meaningful! Save Lives.

USCG for six years over 300 lives saved by the crew of the WHEC 723 RUSH during my sea duty years. i was directly involved in 53. When someone walks away from the grey sea's cold embrace because of what you personally did then you can walk with confidence, you will be a tower of strength, and have stories that no one will believe who has not been there because you will have been one of the proud few who had to go out. They never promised you you had to come back. Those of us who did are men who do not have to prove anything to anybody.

  4. none stay neutral

  5. You'll get everything you're looking for in the Marine Corps, and then some.

  6. Try going to each of their recruitment places and there they'll give you info themselves...good luck on your choice ;)
