I can't decide is one better than the other. And also what's the best job to have in one. To be honest I'd rather not be on the frontlines of Iraq but I want to be able to help in some way.

  1. If you want to travel the world go with the navy.

If you don't mind deployments then go with the army.

Same for the National Guard they get deployed just as much as active duty does now.

What branch you decide to go in is a personal choice, but I give you kudos for stepping up.

    Good Luck.

  2. if you aren't going infantry then any of your choices work.  if you do go infantry it would be the marines.

  3. navy is 1,national guard 2, army 3 is me i want to be a marine

  4. Well, if you don't want to serve on the "frontlines of Iraq", the Navy would be your option out of the three you listed unless you become a Corpsman or SEAL because the Army and Army NG both deploy to the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq. If you don't want to be in combat, why don't you join the Coast Guard?

You name a job in the civilian world and there probably is some sort of equivalent to that in the military (in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard). So keep that in mind.

Plus factors like a possible career, bachelor's or master's programs, possible duty stations, etc. should be taken into consideration.

    -Army Pilot

  5. Air National Guard is a great organization to be a part of. Same training and everything as the Active Duty Air Force. Lots of jobs to choose from and nice incentives to enlist such as a $20,000 bonus, Student Loan repayment program, and GI Bill for college.

email me through my profile for more information about it.

  6. I was in the Army, many years ago and after the initial shock of military life, I grew to love it. However, if I were to join again it would probably be the air force..they have better housing, bases etc.

The question you have to ask is what do you want to do not just this moment, but well into the future, what are your future employment plans, what branch will provide you with a marketable skill on discharge.

There are many tests available to match your interests and abilities with a viable career option. Look at each branch to see what they have to offer, then take your time to weed through the propaganda to see what is the best fit for you. I have never regretted my decision to join the Army, in fact they probably gave more to me than I did for them. Good luck with your decision

  7. sit down with a recruiter from each branch

and the ASVAB should help you decide what jobs you would be interested in
