Should I just become homeless?

I can live off of wic right and not have to worry about work at the same time. All the rest of you suckers will be legalized slaves.

Better a legalised slave than a money-sucker.

Once you become unemployed, it can be harder to become re-employed, to access certain services, take out loans... plus money you get from the government tends to be just barely enough to cover the most basic living expenses, if that.

Say good-bye to the Internet, decent food and new clothes.

Take a sabbatical and try it out. Either get a tent or get to know your local shelters or brave it out on the park bench. Most of the soup kitchens serve 3 meals a day. Make sure you write "God Bless" on your cardboard sign, wash up in the park sink, and for extra cash, bring your instrument...don't worry, you don't have to be able to play that well. Get to know some of the other true homeless people and find out how they got there, (it wasn't by choice, I assure you) when you're done, you can write a bestseller about the plight of the homeless...
