Should I just start kissing my bosses butt?

this imbecile who just spends all day talking to my boss and not doing isht just got the same amount of hours I do. except I worked my way up to where Im at and this idiot just spends all day talking and not really doing what hes supposed to do.

so should I just stop doing the same? i mean clearly hard work cant compete with kissing butt. I mean if you cant beat em join em right? Im sorry but I just feel robbed cause I worked my way up and to see someone else get the same without earning it just pisses me off.

I have been in that situation many times in my career. I will tell you frankly that I never changed my ways because I'm too stinkin' proud. It depends how you would feel looking in the mirror after a day spent brown nosing.

id start sucking up to him a bit. ask what type of dessert they like, but it for them, leave it on there desk one day.. simple and proud.
