Should I keep my new iPod touch, or wait until September to watch for any announcements?

I bought an iPod touch Sunday night, but I've not opened it yet. Now I'm reading about possibilities of announcements from Apple in early September. So now I'm questioning if I should keep it or wait. My questions

1. If you were me would you keep the iPod now or wait?

2. What do you think will be announced from Apple?

3. When are these announcements supposed to be made, perhaps a little more specific than early September (have to see if I can wait that long!)

buy it at costco so you can return it whenever and then buy the new one and use itunes to just transfer everything you had on it, including apps
