Should I kill it?

Theres a pigeon that nextdoors little girl keeps feeding this thing is like twice the size it should be its huge for a pigeon, I dont know how it can still fly and it just sits there on the sheds tin roof should infront of my front door should I shoot it or leave it alone

I say shoot it, but then you better have a really good explination for the kid, you know, why it died and stuff, as well as why the neighbors heard gun shots coming from where you live.

pigeons carry diseases and should be discouraged from living in or near humans. Especially children. Have a word with the childs mum. Once the feeding stops it will go elsewhere or you may have to put various 'gadgets' to stop it 'parking' wherever it does.

the famouse mathematician Napier had a similar problem... to capture the pigeon, he scattered some alchol-soaked bird seak, which the pigeon consumed.

Try it! Once the pigeon is intoxicated, you can capture it an remove it from the area  and dispose of it how you wish (I am sure that gun laws prevent you from shooting something too cose to a residence...)

Why do you want to kill it. What has it ever done to you.Its only

looking for food to stay alive like most animals/birds do.I

encourage birds to visit my garden by putting out food for them.They need help to survive .

I say this because I used to live in a high rise flat, when I came back from a fortnights holiday a pigeon had been pecked to bits on the outside balcony and there were a couple of crappy horrible nests IT WAS HORRIBLE TO CLEAN UP... and has left me with a mortal hatred of pigeons they are after all VERMIN "rats with wings" they do carry disease and leave bird droppings everywhere

GET RID - tell her to stop feeding it and it will go elsewhere ... eventually
