Question:

Should I leave my dentist? He filled a small cavity too deep and now I need a root canal...?

I've been going to him for three years and hadn't had any problems until now. (He came highly recommended.) The specialist who he referred me to (for a root canal) recommended I try to see if a crown would work first. During the three weeks I wait for a permanant one he suggested I see if the pain/sensitivity goes away. If not, then get the root canal. No lose situation... I guess. BUT the specialist told me to go back to my dentist for the crown work. Should I find another dentist? Did he mess me up or does this sometimes just happen? (Did I mention my dentist said he'd take care of the cost of the work! Wherever I decided to get it done. I tried asking him since I don't have the money and he agreed! Guilty conscious or good dentist that's not entirely perfect.) Complicated I know... thanks for the help!
