I studied a good second professional qualification for about a a year, but then decided not to complete the course.

Should I leave this on my CV for what I've completed sofar, or just take it off.

I think I should take it off because having part-finished qualifications doesn't look good.

  1. All cv's should be modified to suit the application.

And by this I do not mean lying.

If you have a "poor score" on anything which they are asking for, then delete it, and replace with something which you are proud of and worded in such a way that it could be seen to be beneficial to the position.

  2. You could list it not as an unfinished course, but as advanced classes. Identify each class within the course that you took, but don't identify them as only part of a degree course. This way they are mentioned as a positive (like continuing education credits) instead of as a negative (unfinished).

  3. take it off as a main topic although you can say you have "knowledge of" the topic in a general section at the bottom.

  4. yea omit it, it'd only draw their attention to 'why did you leave'

put it down as an interest later on but not as a qualification

  5. If your course reports were good you could leave it on with the reports to use in lieu of a certificate.

  6. If you can provide a good reason for not completing the the first and if you think it can provide you with an edge in this new one.

Examine yourself and decide whether it is am advantage or not.

  7. I agree that part finished may not look gd but it depends y u didn't finish it I guess!
