Should I let my friends Mother borrow money?

My friends mother is sick she has a disease she cant get ride of. She is married and has a family of her own two daughters including my friend which is 26. She now says she may have stomach cancer. I thinks she should be in a hospital if she is sick is what I'm think but she isn't. She is a very nice lady but I'm really not abel to lend anyone money with out scarfing something I may need right now. **How can I politely tell her I'm unable to let her borrow money ?

I would discuss this with your friend. Maybe you are not the only one whom she's been asking for money. Maybe she really needs the money for some reason. Maybe she did something and she 's afraid to tell her family.. Communication is the solution. If you can't lend be honest with her, you need the money for your own reason. Offer her some other help besides money. It is a tough situation, I "been there,done that."

No! I do not need to read your whole story... the answer is no...you will lose your friend and your money and some of your faith in people.

You just ahave to say that your situation has changed and you cannot extend the loan after all. Don't let her, or your friend get you into having to explain why..if they do...say that you are very uncomfortable with  and you'd rather not discuss it anymore. period. If it's in person. look them in the eye when you tell them...it's totally your money , your life, and your decision. If they get upset, what kind of friends were they in the first place?

Doesn't her daughter (your friend) have any money?

Is it a lot of money she wants?

The bottom line is that you feel uncomfortable about this and therefore you have every right to decline.

If you feel guilty, you could offer to help in some other way than giving money.

It's difficult when people know that you have more money than them.

They might ask you for some since they know you are sitting on a large amount of cash in your account, but it's YOUR money!!!!!

If they treat you badly because you won't give them money, then this just proves that they really don't care about you.
