Should I mail a sympathy card to a co-worker I used to work with?

This was about ten years ago. I moved to get a better job and life. I had saw her husband's obituary in the town's (I used to live there) newspaper website.

Any time you feel an instinct to do good you should. What would it hurt. It's very thoughtful of you especially when someone is feeling so alone and sad.

Yes I think that would be a nice gesture. I still send birthday cards to my former co-workers. It sounds like you feel sorry for her lost I think it would make both of you feel better if you did.

Yes, something like that is always appreciated when someone experiences a devastating loss. She probably feels alone even with her friends and family by her side, you can show her you care even though you two aren't close. What a kind gesture. Good luck.
