Should I make it dark or light trim?

Question

We're painting my bedroom a light greyish purple. The furniture for the room is fairly clean and crisp, dark wood. If i'm going for a more modern look, should i have white trim and blinds, or should i go with something dark to kind o f match the furniture?

i've heard that dark trim makes rooms look old fashioned, is this always true or would it work for the room?

i think a white trim against the grey/purple would look better than a stained wood look to the trim.  i think the darker trim would make the room look darker and the white would help make it look lighter.  you have enough dark in the room with the furniture than to try to add other dark elements.  good luck!

Light-really ultra white semi-gloss always looks great for trim.  Duron 914 Ultra White in the red can was professionally recommended, and it really makes wall color pop!  I always use it.  It makes the room look clean and fresh.
